Berry Blast Smoothie
Its been a LOOOONG time since posts
I haven’t been giving this website or HHC any love because I had to give up my cooking classes due to Covid
Which was rather sad….
But I am still cooking plenty. And will continue to share what I make with you. Perhaps just not as frequently
Although this one doesn’t technically fall under the category of ‘cooking’ – but rather, blending
I’ve mentioned in the past that I’m not much of a breakfast eater, that I don’t typically get hungry til mid morning
But every now and then I get a hankering for something in particular. And that’s what brought about this smoothie idea
I first made it with banana, but the second time I had some frozen mango so used that
Its super delicious either way and such a lovely refreshing way to start the day
Oh, and I tend to have a handful of walnuts with it
I’ve found that’s the perfect amount of breakfast, for me
Enjoy 🙂
- 1 large frozen banana or ½ cup frozen mango, chopped
- 1 cup of frozen mixed berries (my favourites are raspberries and blackberries)
- ¼ cup grape juice
- several ice cubes
- Put banana, berries, grape juice and ice cubes in a blender and puree until smooth
- Add extra grape juice or water as desired to get a consistency you like
- Enjoy 🙂
And in case you thought these photos are unusually good (which they are) unfortunately I didn’t take them
They were shot by the very talented Helena Dowdall
