Come and see how I do it in my kitchen!
Hi, I’m Caroline
I used to run a busy cafe and catering business but that is a whole other lifetime ago (thank goodness!)
I am now an Accredited Practising Dietitian (which is the highest qualification in nutrition and medically recognised but I don’t put people on diets!!) and Accredited Nutritionist (which just sounds less formal than dietitian and that I am less likely to put people on diets) and work in private practice teaching those that come to see me how to manage chronic conditions and helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.
First and foremost though, I am a foodie and (compulsive) cook. I love to experiment with interesting ingredients and flavours and think outside the box (so to speak) when it comes to food and the many ways it can be prepared and presented.
I now want to share my knowledge and experience with you in my cooking classes
These classes are designed to show you how easy it is to prepare delicious, healthy, tasty food that will nourish your body, but without needing you to spend hours in the kitchen to do so!
I want you to gain more confidence in your culinary abilities, broaden your understanding of cooking with real, whole foods and see how easy it is.
I have a range of classes to suit almost anybody, and I can do private lessons too on request.
I hope you will join me for one of my fun, informative and practical classes
You will be in a small group, capped at 6, where you can watch, help, taste and overall enjoy a terrific foodie experience.
About the Cooking Classes
These are organic wholefood cooking classes designed to show you how to cook wholesome, nourishing and delicious meals using a variety of interesting foods.
Organic doesn’t only mean that the food is grown without the use of chemical fertilisers, synthetic pesticides and herbicides but promotes sustainability (supports farming methods that are deemed environmentally sound) and the humane raising of animals for food.
Wholefoods are those as close to their natural form as possible with no or minimal processing involved, so that they retain all their vital nutrients in the way our bodies absorb them best.
This is not a vegetarian cooking school, but it will have an emphasis on whole plant foods as the higher one’s percentage of intake from whole plant foods, the lower their risk of chronic disease. I also see in my clinics that this is the part of most people’s intake that needs increasing.
You will learn quick and easy ways to incorporate a wide variety of vegetables, fruit, legumes and whole grains into your daily intake to boost your intake of fibre, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and health-enhancing phytonutrients.
In the process, you’ll discover new, delicious, mouth-watering creations that will become staples in your diet.
All classes are held in St Peters, Sydney which is next door to Newtown & Alexandria
“you don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just GOOD FOOD from FRESH ingredients” – Julia Child
