Low Carb, High Fat Diet – what’s the deal?
Well it was bound to happen wasn’t it
Was just a matter of time really
Many people have made their money out of the low carb, high protein trend (oops, did I really write that!), and it has been going on for a while now, getting a bit tired and boring so it was time for something new.
So lets see….we have carbs (oh no, they are evil), we have protein (been there done that, didn’t seem to help with boosting energy levels, feeling better or weight loss) so what’s left? You guessed it – FAT!!
Oh dear! Really – we are supposed to eat fat to lose fat? What the…?
Wasn’t this trend around in the 70’s, along with flares, tight-fitting body suits, big collars, bigger hair, nylon and paisley – eww!
Can we all please STOP! Have a look around and see what is really going on
People eat too much…
People eat all the time, even when not hungry…
People eat too much fast-food and processed food, which is meant to only be eaten sometimes or occasionally (a lot of this is loaded with fat BTW)…
People don’t eat enough vegetables (only 6% of Australians eat the recommended intake of vegetables daily)…
People don’t move enough…
And that is how you put on weight
Its not rocket-science – it is unhealthy habits and behaviours
