Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Covington, Louisiana. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, ledger management, and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a strong desire to develop their skills in a focused and organized environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and record journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist in generating monthly and annual financial reports.
• Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
• Contribute to the implementation of accounting system improvements if required.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support departmental needs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and US GAAP.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and preparation of monthly reports.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
