Turnaround Planner – Scheduler (Primavera P6)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Planner – Scheduler to support the planning and execution of turnaround (TAR) projects at our Billings, MT refinery . In this role, you’ll use Oracle Primavera P6 to build and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and on time.

This is a critical position within the TAR team, working cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, operations, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed turnaround schedules using Primavera P6 .
• Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to collect scope, resource needs, and timelines.
• Perform critical path analysis, identify risks, and create mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress and update schedules throughout all turnaround phases.
• Support daily schedule reviews and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Integrate contractor schedules and resolve schedule conflicts or constraints.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of turnaround or project scheduling experience in a refinery or industrial setting .
• Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 is required .
• Strong knowledge of work breakdown structures (WBS), CPM, and scheduling best practices.
• Familiarity with field execution, maintenance workflows, and project coordination.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP, Maximo, or other CMMS platforms.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Additional Information:

• Must be available for extended hours, including weekends, during execution phases.
• Field presence required during turnaround execution.
