Job Title

Clinical Quality & Patient Safety Leader (PRMC/DCT)

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office, data reporting, negotiation, and customer service.
• Ability to effectively interact with various internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of healthcare quality experience.
  • RN License.
  • CPPS (Certified Professional in Patient Safety).
  • CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).
• Preferred:
  • Master’s degree.
  • Risk Management or other quality certification.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and Manage Quality Programs:Oversee the PRMC/DCT quality program, including clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory readiness. Support and implement quality initiatives in alignment with hospital leadership and PHS directives. Regulatory Compliance & Survey Readiness:Ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Lead survey preparation and act as facility liaison during inspections. Quality Improvement & Data Analysis:Develop, monitor, and analyze QAPI data (including infection control and business indicators). Report findings to leadership and clinical committees. Subject Matter Expert (SME):Serve as SME in quality methodologies and patient safety. Facilitate quality improvement projects and coach teams. Clinical Performance Measurement:Contribute to the development and reporting of clinical quality metrics. Apply risk analysis techniques and lead root cause investigations (RCI/PSI). Risk Management:Manage incident reporting (MIDAS), patient complaints, and potentially compensable events. Provide data analysis and trend reporting on incidents and claims. Recommend changes to reduce harm and improve patient safety. Leadership Roles:Serve as Patient Safety Officer and Compliance Liaison. Prepare short- and long-term improvement and patient safety plans. Team Management:Hire, orient, and develop staff. Oversee staff performance evaluations, engagement, and retention. Model and enforce professional behavior and organizational values. Budget & Financial Oversight:Prepare and manage departmental budgets. Monitor variances and meet financial targets. Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with clinical leadership and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Ensure culturally competent care and a diverse, respectful workforce environment. Point-of-Care Leadership:Provide real-time leadership support and model C.A.R.E.S. behaviors (Continuous learning, Accountability, Respect/respond, Environmental safety, Superior outcomes).
