Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op. The hourly rate for this position is $20.77 - $37.50 per hour.

As a member of the Distributed Energy Resource Management Solutions (DERMS) Center of Excellence (CoE), you will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop cutting-edge software that supports the energy transition and enhances energy management. This role offers hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, helping you strengthen your coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while contributing to impactful, real-world solutions.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of a mentor. Participate in code reviews and team meetings. Assist in debugging and troubleshooting software issues. Contribute to documentation and technical specifications. Learn and apply best practices in software engineering.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C/C++. Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Eagerness to learn and take initiative. Access to transportation to our Moon Township, PA office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with version control systems like Git. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. Exposure to web development frameworks. Familiarity with databases and SQL.
