This program focuses on three main tenants: Competitive Excellency, Club and Community Inclusiveness and Academic Integration. Ole Miss Esports is a top 10 department competitively. With a League of Legends Teams that has been a top 5 nationally rank team since 2024, they have just had the honor of both competing in the 2025 national championship, and compete professionally in NACL. The Varsity Rocket League team as well is a Top 15 nationally rank program with multiple LAN appearances to its name. Beyond that the Ole Miss Esports Club boasts multiple conference championships and attends LANs regularly. Role Specifications Below you will find classification and compensation information. For additional details behind the University of Mississippi classification system please visit Human Resource Compensation Page Family - Administration Sub-Family - Administration Operations Grade - 7 Min Mid Max $51,605 $64,500 $77,397 Role Summary Administers day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a department or set of departments. Administers fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, strategic implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaising, and reporting. This role focuses on the club and community aspects of the department. It work closely with students in time sensitive manner to put on events, manage club expectations, and balance the use of facility. They will oversee the facility to make sure it is functioning. The Program Manager of Club and Community should expect to oversee student workers and potentially a GA in order to best serve our student body. They will also help the director of the university create a sustainable vision of lasting success for the program. including working with stakeholders on campus to assure student eligibility to compete. Examples of Work Performed Supervise Club E-board: Oversee the activities and decisions of the esports club's executive board, providing support and guidance as needed. (10%) Club Growth and Sustainability: Develop strategies to grow the esports club, increase membership, and ensure long-term sustainability. (10%) Development of New Student Committees: Create and oversee student committees focused on various aspects of esports program development and management. (10%) Maintain Operational Viability of Facility: Ensure the esports facility is well-maintained, functional, and compliant with regulations and standards. (10%) Advise Club: Provide guidance and leadership to the esports club's executive board on matters related to club operations and development. (5%) Creating Events: Plan and execute esports tournaments, leagues, and other events to engage the community and attract new participants. (5%) Growing the Footprint of Esports: Develop strategies to increase the popularity and participation in esports within the community and region. (5%) Adding New Games: Identify and introduce new esports titles to the program, considering popularity, feasibility, and student interest. (5%) Grade Checks: Monitor the academic progress of student-competitors to ensure they maintain eligibility requirements. (5%) Manage Non-Scholarship Teams: Oversee the development and performance of non-scholarship esports teams, providing coaching and support as needed. (5%) Study Hall: Establish and oversee study hall sessions to support student-athletes in balancing academics and esports commitments. (5%) Supervise Graduate Assistant: Direct and supervise graduate assistants supporting the esports program in various capacities. (5%) Repairs and Structural Integrity: Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to the facility to ensure a safe and conducive environment for esports activities. (3%) Connect with Alums: Maintain relationships with alumni of the esports program, leveraging their support and expertise for the benefit of current students. (3%) Working With Advisors: Collaborate with academic advisors to support student-athletes' academic success and overall well-being. (3%) Recruitment: Recruit talented players and staff to enhance the competitiveness and reputation of the program. (2%) Keeping Up to Date with Law and Policy: Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and policies affecting esports and ensure compliance. (2%) Outside Groups Using the Space: Coordinate with outside groups interested in using the esports facility, ensuring their needs are met while prioritizing the program's activities. (2%) Stay Up to Date on Major Tech Happenings: Keep abreast of technological advancements in esports equipment, software, and trends to maintain a competitive edge. (2%) Other Jobs as Assigned: Work with the Director of Esports Programs to accomplish goals to push the program forward. (2%) In Charge When Director is Absent: Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the esports program director, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making. (1%) Essential Functions These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

1. Administer and oversee day-to-day fiscal activities, including financial transactions, budget tracking, and expense management for the department(s).
2. Assist with administrative tasks such as coordinating meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records and documentation.
3. Develop and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.
4. Support strategic implementation efforts by collaborating with departmental stakeholders to align operational activities with organizational goals and priorities.
5. Serve as a liaison between the department(s) and internal stakeholders, other departments, and external partners or vendors.
6. Conduct research and analysis to provide recommendations on operational and administrative improvement opportunities.
7. Prepare regular reports and presentations on departmental performance, financial status, and operational metrics for management and other stakeholders.
8. Assist in the development and implementation of administrative policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and best practices.
9. Coordinate and support departmental projects and initiatives, including tracking progress, facilitating communication, and ensuring timely completion.
