The Opportunity
Dr. Seuss Enterprises (DSE) is looking for a Licensing Coordinator to support the North America Licensing & Sales team in maximizing domestic presence across multiple product categories including Apparel & Accessories, Footwear, Home, Beauty, Consumables, Party/Stationery, Toys, Pet, and Seasonal Decor. The Licensing Coordinator, NA will work closely with internal teams (Brand, Legal, Finance, and Product Licensing) to ensure cross functional alignment as well as with key external partners including licensees and retailers. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment supporting the day-to-day business of DSE’s product licensing portfolio. The Licensing Coordinator, NA will report to the Licensing Manager for Toys and Party/Stationary.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Utilize Royalty Management system to support contract management for all licensing agreements.
· Support licensee relationships across various product categories, ensuring alignment with DSE’s brand vision, growth objectives, and financial targets.
· Support Licensing Managers with evaluation of category expansion, product placement, retailer sell-in/sell-through, and contract renewals.
· Assist in the development of pitch materials and presentations. industry research, and internal reports.
· Research and analyze sales data and market trends to help inform licensing decisions
· Manage and maintain internal reports including licensee lists, new business, and renewal trackers.
· Work cross-functionally with Brand, Legal, and Finance to support seamless alignment of licensing objectives and brand initiatives.
· Support participation in trade shows, business meetings, and licensee visits to foster relationships and build rapport.
· Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
· 1-2 years of experience in Licensing or Brand Marketing within consumer products, entertainment, or retail.
· General understanding of licensing deal structures and contract terms, preferred.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate sales data, market trends, and financial performance.
· Excellent communication skills, with experience managing external partnerships.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and experience with licensing approval systems (e.g., MyMedia Box preferred).
· Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
· Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
· Occasional overnight travel may be required (up to 10-20%).
