Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and friendly full time host to join our team at Hearth. This role will ensure that each guest receives exceptional service from the moment they arrive. Key Responsibilities:

Hosting Duties:

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists efficiently
• Take to-go orders
• Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries about the menu, hours, and services
• Maintain a clean and welcoming dining room and outdoor alley space
• Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, promotions, and special events
• Handle cash and process payments, including using the POS system
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings (Shift is Tuesday-Saturday 3:30pm-10pm)
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork ethic with a positive attitude
• Previous experience in a customer service role preferred, especially in a restaurant setting
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, or willingness to learn
• Must be 18 or older and out of highschool

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift and carry trays, dishes, and other items
• Occasional bending, reaching, and stooping

• Starting wage: $16.50/hour + tips (Tips are split evenly amongst the restaurant and coffee shop team. Expected hourly tip range is $5-15/hour).
